RockPro64: Raid fehlt nach Absturz

  • Hallo!
    Nach vielen Jahren problemlosem Betrieb (auch nach Stromausfällen) hakt es nach dem letzten Stromausfall (verursacht durch einen eifrigen Monteur des Stromanbieters) massiv.

    Vielleicht kann mir jemand Schritt für Schritt helfen.

    Nach dem Reboot läuft zwar das System (nextcloudPi) rund (kann mich einloggen, etc.), aber der eingerichtete Software Raid ist verschwunden:

    Eigentlich sind zwei SATA disks im Raid1 eingebaut, und dort drauf liegen / lagen die Daten für Nexcloud.

    Ich habe nun keine Ahnung, wie ich das angehe. Ich hoffe inständig, dass auf den Platten noch alles da ist.. und da möchte ich schon gerne versuchen, ob ich das System wieder an den Start bekomme.

    Leider kann ich nicht auf dieser Ebene nicht gut "Terminal". Die Hilfe müsste daher sehr "noob", eben step by step, sein.

    Ich muss ganz ehrlich gestehen, das ich nicht weiß was da bei Dir falsch läuft. Da du von einem Stromausfall sprachst, würde ich vermuten, das eine der Platten evt. einen Filesystem Schaden hat.

    Darüber hinaus, sieht der Kernel auch ziemlich wüst aus. Was man machen könnte.

    • Ein anderes Image ausprobieren um auszuschließen, das es daran liegt.
    • Die HDDs in einem richtigen PC mal auf Funktion und Filesystem Errors testen.

    Das würde ich zu mindestens so machen.

    Was Du auch noch machen kannst, ist nur eine Platte anzuschließen um zu testen, ob es dann läuft. Dein Raid1 ist ja nur eine Spiegelung. Das mal wechselweise machen. Vielleicht hat nur eine Platte einen weg!?

    Dann meckert das Raid zwar, aber funktionieren sollte es.

  • Z.B. wäre es super, wenn ich mal checken könnte, ob der SATA HardwareController kaputt gegangen ist. Dann würde ich schauen, ob die HDDs einen Fehler haben.
    Erst dann macht es ja Sinn, zu versuchen das raid wieder herzustellen.

    Ich habe kleider keine Ahnung, wie man das am jetzt konkret angeht.

    Die Hardware wird also erkannt, richtig? Allerdings irritiert mich das "active=unknown".
    Als nächstes baue ich die HDDs aus und schließe sie mal lesend an einen anderen PC. Mal sehen, vielleicht gibt's so einen Durchbruch.

    Das heißt doch, dass die Module im Kernel geladen wurden?
    Alles immer mit Fragezeichen, weil ich tatsächlich keine Ahnung habe, wie ich diese Zeilen interpretieren soll.

    Keine Spur von den zwei HDDs

  • Ist schon ein paar Tage her, wo ich noch Raids auf einem RockPro64 gebaut habe.....

    Ich hab das System grade runtergefahren, weil ich die Platten testweise mal hier extern dranhängen will.
    Wir ein bisserl dauern, bis ich da nachsehen kann.

  • @rockverynew Ja, ja.. eine Platte lässt sich problemlos einhängen und meldet sich als Teil eines Raidverbundes an. Die zweite ist erscheint erst nach gehöriger Zeit, und verschickt die Warnung, dass sie bald den Geist aufgibt ("likely to fail soon")
    Ich bau das jetzt wieder rein, und hoffe, dass ich das retten kann, bevor die erste Platte das Zeitliche segnet.

  • Mir gehen aktuell die Ideen aus. Welches System wird von WO gestartet? SD-Karte?

    Ist vor dem Stromausfall ein neuer Kernel installiert worden, der jetzt nach dem Neustart rum zickt?

    Ich habe ansonsten keine Einfälle mehr, für mehr müsste man das System sehen.

    Das System startet von der SD Karte
    Auf dem RAID waren eigentlich nur die Daten von nextcloud.
    Ich habe vor dem Stromausfall keine Updates gemacht.
    Aber.. jetzt wo du das erwähnst .. fällt mir ein, dass ich nach dem Stromausfall und, nachdem ich festgestellt habe, dass nix geht, ein Update gemacht haben könnte. Das nextcloudPi System bringt ein paar Skripte mit, die das Updaten leicht möglich machen. Ich habe das aaber auch deswegen nicht ernst genommen, weil das Skript nicht zu laufen schien. War in Bruchteilen von Sekunden "fertig".

    Es ist sehr merkwürdig, dass es auf der SD Karte auch so viele Partitionen gibt. Könnte es sein, dass die Partitionstabellen beim Absturz kaputt gegangen sind?

    in der fstab ist der RAID noch drinnen.
    Nur sda und sdb werden gar nicht gefunden / angezeigt.
    Wie kann ich meinem System sagen, dass es die Festplatten neu suchen soll?
    Oder kann man davon ausgehen, dass der SATA controller kaputtgegangen ist?

  • Zur Beruhigung, die Daten auf den HDDs sollten noch da sein, da würde ich mir aktuell keine Sorgen machen. Was mich stutzig macht ist, das der Controller keine HDD erkennt!?

    @EricG Ja, das hatte ich schon fast bergessen. Ich nutze zur Installation dann einen USB-to-LAN Adapter. Danach geht eth0, wenn man sie konfiguriert. Aber das hast Du ja sicherlich auch schon gelesen.

    Ich sollte das evt. mal wieder testen 🤔

    Das mit Pin 10 habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gehabt, benutze aber auch nur noch selten den SPI.

    Was wäre es doch für ein Traum, wenn man einen vernünftigen uboot hätte und man einfach ein Device anhängen könnte und die Kiste davon bootet...

    Bin aber beim ROCKPro64 auch nicht mehr auf der Höhe der Zeit, ich teste da nur noch selten.

    Er sprach vom JMB585 im M.2-Format. 2 x SATA vom Intel-SoC plus 5 vom JMB585 macht dann 7 SATA-Anschlüsse. Der JMB585 im H2+ ist natürlich auch ausgebremst, weil Intels Gemini Lake (Refresh) auch nur PCIe Gen2 kann und so die 5 SATA-Ports des JMB585 nur hinter zwei Gen2 Lanes hängen.

    Freut mich, das es jetzt so problemlos klappt. Das ist echt immer ein Problem mit Linux und Hardware. Es ist zwar besser geworden aber noch nicht optimal. Und auf den kleinen Platinen ist das auch noch eine ganz andere Sache.

    Ich kann die auch heute noch immer wieder empfehlen. Läuft und läuft....

    Mir fällt da leider auch nicht mehr viel zu ein. Die Karte ist ja auch schon ein paar Tage alt. Vielleicht würde ein BIOS Update der Karte helfen!??

    Hast du einen Rechner, wo du die Karte mal reinstecken kannst um zu schauen, ob sie funktioniert?

    Mein NAS läuft wie gesagt schon relativ lange sehr stabil. Und es macht auch was 🙂 Es sichert z.B. dieses Forum und viele andere Seiten regelmäßig. Ansonsten dient es als mein Datengrab. Nix besonderes..

    Wenn Du nicht so komplizierte Dinge fragst, darfst du gerne neue Threads eröffnen 🙂
