You should give Claude Code a shot if you have a Claude subscription. I'd say this is where AI actually does a decent job: picking up human slack, under supervision, not replacing humans at anything. AI tools won't suddenly be productive enough to employ, but I as a professional can use it to accelerate my own workflow. It's actually where the risk of them taking jobs is real: for example, instead of 10 support people you can have 2 who just supervise the responses of an AI. But of course, the Devil's in the detail. The only reason this is cost effective is because of VC money subsidizing and hiding the real cost of running these models.

I think both peace and war are profitable. But those that profit from war may be more pushy than those that profit from peace, and so may get their way even as an unpopular minority . Unless, the left (usually more pro peace) learns a few lessons from the right and places good outcomes above the holier than thou moral purity. "I've never made anyone uncomfortable" is not the merit badge that some think it is. Of course the left can never be a mirror copy of the right because the left cannot afford to give as few fucks about anything as the right (who represent the already-haves economic incumbents; it's not called the "fuck you money" for nothing). But the left can be way tougher and nuancedly uncompromising and even calculatingly and carefully millitant. Might does not make right but might DOES make POLICY. You need both right and might to live under a good policy. Lotta good it does anyone to be right and insightful on all the issues and have zero impact anywhere.

How many of those Saturn V rockets landed themselves back on the launch pad? NASAs milestones were not the same as, nor anywhere near as hard as, SpaceX’s. Your incompetence line shows you’re not capable of being impartial in this so there’s no real point continuing. You’re saying the guy responsible for the EV market we have no, the almost fully self driving cars we have now, the satellite internet network we have now, and the reusable spaceship booster rockets we have now is “incompetent”. You’re not here to actually have a discussion.

I did read it, and my comment is exactly referencing the attitude of the author which is "It's good enough, so you should use it". I disagree, and say it's another dumbass shortcut to cash grab on a less than stellar ecosystem and product. It's training wheels for failure.

I wouldn't trust windows to follow their don't screenshot API, whether out of ignorance or malice.
