nice! I was looking at these too, after I have seen another review about it here on Lemmy. how do you change its settings, like the aspect ratio, the dimming or the distance? how does it know where is forward in anchor mode? if you are sitting in a vehicle that is turning, can you keep it using as if nothing has happened? how do you do chores with it? I mean, what do you connect it to, and where do you place it so that it's not in the way? what do you do to not get tangled in the cable, and to not get stuck on something?

Just to add — this survey is for literally anyone who's been through the project phase in college. We’re trying to figure out: What stops students from building cool stuff? What actually helps students finish a project? How mentors/teachers can support better? And whether buying/selling projects is something people genuinely do — and why. Super grateful to anyone who fills it. And if you’ve had an experience (good or bad) with your project — feel free to share it here too

I just can't get over how little we hear from academics RE: AI. It shows a clear disinterest and I feel like if they did bother to say anything it would be, "Proceed with caution while we study this further." Instead it's always the giant corporations with vested interest in this technology succeeding. It's just so painfully transparent.

I'm just sad I'm too young to have ever seen that old internet, and what it was like... Makes me more determined to try and steer the current internet back in that direction though.

I played around the launch and didn't realize there were bots (outside of pve)... But I also assumed I was shooting a bunch of kids that barely understood the controls.

Online group started by a 15 year old in Texas playing Minecraft and watching extreme gore they said in this article. Were they also involved in said sexual exploiting of other kids, or was that just the spin offs that came from other people/countries? It all sounds terrible but I wonder if this was just a kid who did something for attention and then other perpetrators got involved and kept taking it further and down other rabbit holes. Definitely seems like a know what your kid is doing online scenario, but also yikes on all the 18+ members who joined and participated in such.

By giving us the choice of whether someone else should profit by our data. Same as I don't want someone looking over my shoulder and copying off my test answers.
