Is there a word for when the media is constantly like 3+ years behind with "warnings" like this? I mean Jesus Christ, turning into?

Here's a 20 year old album about it (it's really cool that my favorite band is called ISIS. It's neat how they broke up in 2010 but I still can only wear the merch at home)

Well Obama 'fixed' it.
Made it even more draconian but called it the Freedom Act.
Shit like that works every time.schrieb am 8. Juni 2025, 12:34 zuletzt editiert vonGod I miss the pre-9/11 US, when the worst thing happening was bad jokes on SNL about Bill Clinton and cigars.

At that time this sleezebag (and others with power) got away with a lot of sexual misconduct.
And in his case probably rapes.
Minimising it as him being some naughthy schoolboy and making jokes about is not really something I miss. -

The 5 eyes countries are not allowed to spy on their own citizens, but they can freely share data.
Isn't there an obvious loophole here.

I mean, they do it anyways.

"turning"?
You Yankees really do live in a bubble.

Edit: this is the second time on here I’ve experienced uniform bigotry for Americans without knowing my personal story. You are insulting someone who is an ally, whether or not you care. If you are going to win the war on authoritarianism and the future you should do a better job of parsing friend from foe. I am not you enemy and my experience with Yankee rings true in all my travels of the world.

Same thing

However, while the Yankee does their best to isolate themselves from the perceived dangers outside, they are completely unaware that this paranoia is just one of the symptoms of the parasite that has begun to lodge itself deep within their brain. Without immediate assistance the Yankee will likely develop increasingly fascist tendencies before perishing in a rather gruesome manner as the Yankee colony self destructs.

Humans = capitalism ???
schrieb am 8. Juni 2025, 14:40 zuletzt editiert vonNo but the comment above makes it sound like capitalism is some external, alien evil that has nothing to do with humans, even though it's just greed

They also just spy on their own citizens anyway, because who is going to stop them?
