Sure, that is your reality, and I respect that you are sure that's the case (and in many cases it is), but I happen to believe that there are shades of gray from the whitest white to the darkest black. So you do you, I'll follow my own reality. I think we can easily be in agreement that following a man or woman because of religion is, not only detrimental, but also dangerous. Whatwe will certainly disagree on is that, for me, Jesus is God, and for you, believing that makes me n irrational sheep. And that's cool, I don't think that should be a reason for one of us to hate the other, or even simply be angry (or anything similar, my English vocabulary is not too extensive). I brought up religion because it was brought up. So, yeah, I'm not one of those that goes around pushing my believes on others, but the moment I see Jesus attacked, I will defend Him the same way He died for me on that cross.

This is so, so fucking stupid. Am i really supposed such a jarring and complete lack of ceitical thinking ability to believe that this is an issue worth writing an article about? To explain: of all the monumentally incompetent, illegal, mond-numbingly stupid, and agressively short-sighted things a trenager is inevitably going to type into a school laptop I'm supposed to believe that THIS, this is what is worth writing an article about? I do not disagree with what the author is teying to say but holy fucking shit what a load of pandering, steaming shit this is. Getting flagged for being trans is, like, one of a countless number of idiotic things a teenager could do with a school laptop with monitoring software installed that could potentially land them in hot water. The dangers of normalizing surveillance amongst students are so fucking multitudinous that to highlight any one of them is fuckjng pointless when addressing the root of it covers ALL of them. Including the subject of this article.

He's also being aggressive against countries who would like to tax the extortionist profits made by those companies from their people. "AI Action Plan" is focused on keeping world extorted by US tech giants without any foreign taxes on that extortion. World seems to be sucking up to it. Democrats will not revoke new slavery status of colonies.

Did you, by any chance, ever wonder, why people deal with hunger instead of just eating cake?

"Extra Verification steps" I know how large social media companies operate. This is all about increasing the value of Reddit users to advertisers. The goal is to have a more accurate user database to sell them. Zuckerberg literally brags to corporations about how good their data is on users: https://www.facebook.com/business/ads/performance-marketing Here, Zuckerberg tells corporations that Instagram can easily manipulate users into purchasing shit: https://www.facebook.com/business/instagram/instagram-reels Always be wary of anything available for free. There are some quality exceptions (CBC, VLC, The Guardian, Linux, PBS, Wikipedia, Lemmy, ProPublica) but, by and large, "free" means they don't care about you. You are just a commodity that they sell. Facebook, Google, X, Reddit, Instagram... Their goal is keep people hooked to their smartphone by giving them regular small dopamine hits (likes, upvotes) followed by a small breaks with outrageous content/emotional content. Keep them hooked, gather their data, and sell them ads. The people who know that best are former top executives : https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/oct/05/smartphone-addiction-silicon-valley-dystopia https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/01/business/addictive-technology.html https://www.today.com/parents/teens/facebook-whistleblower-frances-haugen-rcna15256
