I don't think anyone would be upset if the extension would just redirect to simple wiki.
It's a bit like having bit of poop on your dinner plate. It still ruins the entire thing.

Doesn't this already exist built into Wikipedia (for years and without LLM as far as I know)?
If you put "simple" before the URL, it converts any article into a simplified form.
Once again, no reason for AI to be involved at all.
