And maybe apple isn’t promoting Grok because they don’t want to promote mechahitler and it’s deepfake Taylor Swift nudes… I hate Apple, but this would be an entirely reasonable stance.

They still would, it just wouldn’t have their name on it.

An LLM has “zero context” about your project’s specific stack and style guidelines. In other words, an AI might produce a generic <Modal> component, but integrating it into your app’s unique architecture is still a human task. This is very old. Nowadays, in Copilot for example, you add files to context and tell "hey look how I did that thing there, do this new thing following the same structure, with the same naming conventions" and it's enough. And tools like Cursor just throw your whole project into context by default.

I admire your positivity. I do not share it though, because from what I have seen, because even if there are open weights, the one with the biggest datacenter will in the future hold the most intelligent and performance model. Very similar to how even if storage space is very cheap today, large companies are holding all the data anyway. AI will go the same way, and thus the megacorps will and in some extent already are owning not only our data, but our thoughts and the ability to modify them. I mean, sponsored prompt injection is just the first thought modifying thing, imagine Google search sponsored hits, but instead it's a hyperconvincing AI response that subtly nudges you to a certain brand or way of thinking. Absolutely terrifies me, especially with all the research Meta has done on how to manipulate people's mood and behaviour through which social media posts they are presented with

Just saw this article linked in a ThePrimeagen video. I didn't watch the video, but I did read the article, and all of this article is exactly what I'm always saying when I'm complaining about current UI trends and why I'm so picky about the software I use and also the tools I use to write software. I shouldn't have to be picky, but it seems like developers (professional and hobbyist alike) don't care anymore and users don't have standards.

Yes. I can't use lynx for most of the sites I am used to go with it. They are all protecting themselves with captcha and other form of javascript computation. The net is dying. Fucking thank you AI-bullshitery...
