Ye-es, we'll see a good test of humanity's ability to adapt. Either it delivers, or it ends right in the following decades, because its survival is based on a much subtler process than people controlling these technologies can conceive. It's all the time of evolution and its volume of entropy spent on optimization versus like 40 years of computer programmers deciding they know how it all should be done, just have to pass through the resistance. The latter is a drop in the sea. It can't realistically be anything but a threat.

For those who don't know, prosopagnosia (face blindness) makes it nearly impossible to recognize peoples faces - even those you know well, which is why facial recognition tech could be genuinely helpful for folks with this condtion.

This is so, so fucking stupid. Am i really supposed such a jarring and complete lack of ceitical thinking ability to believe that this is an issue worth writing an article about? To explain: of all the monumentally incompetent, illegal, mond-numbingly stupid, and agressively short-sighted things a trenager is inevitably going to type into a school laptop I'm supposed to believe that THIS, this is what is worth writing an article about? I do not disagree with what the author is teying to say but holy fucking shit what a load of pandering, steaming shit this is. Getting flagged for being trans is, like, one of a countless number of idiotic things a teenager could do with a school laptop with monitoring software installed that could potentially land them in hot water. The dangers of normalizing surveillance amongst students are so fucking multitudinous that to highlight any one of them is fuckjng pointless when addressing the root of it covers ALL of them. Including the subject of this article.

Of all the crap that comes out of the dipshit-in-chief's mouth, the one thing I really wish he would've followed through on was deporting Elmo.

I've been using Vivaldi as my logged in browser for years. I like the double tab bar groups, session management, email client, sidebar and tab bar on mobile. It is strange to me that tab bar isn't a thing on mobile on other browsers despite phones having way more vertical space than computers. Although for internet searches I use a seperate lighter weight browser that clears its data on close. Ecosia also been using for years. For a while it was geniunely better than the other search engines I had tried but nowadays it's worse since it started to return google translate webpage translation links based on search region instead of the webpages themselves. Also not sure what to think about the counter they readded after removing it to reduce the emphasis on quantity over quality like a year ago. I don't use duckduckgo as its name and the way privacy communities used to obsess about it made me distrust it for some reason

Ah, yes. That's correct, sorry I misunderstood you. Yeah that's pretty lame that it doesn't work on desktop. I remember wanting to use that several times.
