The wealthy are scared and they are directing their minions to implement this. You see things like this more and more, when the housing market in Canada really started shifting and climbing in costs, the same systems were put in place in the UK and in Aus, NZ. To me it seemed too coordinated, is the same everytime one of the 5 eyes starts something and tries to make it seem like it's to "protect the children" or whatever. They are so scared of the people riding up against the ultra wealthy, this is why it is being done. It is a coordinated effort, they debt it and try to pretend they are being strong against the TACO regime, but that is only a show for their citizens, when really they're putting all of this in place. They know their in trouble with all the lies and theft affairs their people, most likely mass layoffs are coming in the next few years and they want to be able to have a nice big list of names of who to go after. The entire political systems globally need to change to allow everyone to have a decent standard of living.

!mechanical_keyboards@programming.dev !ergomechkeyboards@lemmy.world !splitmechkeyboards@lemmy.world and maybe !keychron@lemmy.ca These would be much more appropriate for your post. Also, have a proper post title and question when you post there.

Fair enough. Unfortunately, that only covers around 5% of Android users in the US.

When I worked in IT, we only let people install every other version of Windows. Our Linux user policy was always “mainstream distro and the LTS version.” Mac users were strongly advised to wait 3 months to upgrade. One guy used FreeBSD and I just never questioned him because he was older and never filed one help desk request. He probably thought I was an idiot. (And I was.) Anyway, I say all that to say don’t use Windows 11 on anything important. It’s the equivalent of a beta. Windows 12 (or however they brand it) will probably be stable. I don’t use Windows much anymore and maybe things have changed but the concepts in the previous paragraph could be outdated. But it’s a good rule of thumb.

It dissolves into salt water. Except it doesn't dissolve, this is not the term they should be using, you can't just dry out the water and get the plastic back. It breaks down into other things. I'm pretty sure an ocean full of dissolved plastic would be a way worse ecological disaster than the current microplastic problem... I've seen like 3-4 articles about this now and they all use the term dissolve and it's pissing me off.
