Former hughes repair guy here. If it's your only choice, sure. But it's utter trash. It's susceptible to so many environmental conditions. Certain geographical areas can experience various service levels too. Data caps will sneak up on you faster than you realize too. Not to mention the pole or tripod mount that has to be installed, yard dug up and holes drilled into the house. Seen plenty of tripod mounts be ripped off a roof, damaging the roof in the process. Anyways...avoid any satellite isp if possible.

Unfortunately this is the better of the two main parties. This isn't republicans winning because dems didn't vote. Labour won, and this still went through. The UK government as a whole has been on an anti porn brigade for decades. I can't wait for the day labour and the Tories just die off.

They probably think this will persuade the politicians to review these rules, as they can't reach their target audiences anymore. I hope they see the overwhelming support for this decision, but I'm not sure if I'm in a bubble. I only see positive reactions so far. There was 1 critical article in the news, but just stating facts, no opinions. I think it's great. Less brainwashing going on during the election cycles from now on since Facebook in particular allowed for some really specific demographic targeting.

To me it's weird that people have issues with this. My wife and I, married 35 years, share each other's locations because if something bad happened we would want to be able to find each other. I don't even give a second thought to, "...and I can make sure she isn't cheating on me."

I have two laptops with broken hinges right now. Metal and other materials help with hinge support. plastic and constant use will break most hinges. I used to do laptop repair, its a pretty common thing to replace.

The same way you have a lock on your front door “just in case”. It’s not emotional. It’s logical.
