Edit: The post is about people who are anti-Islam, an increasing trend about a growing religion. It has nothing to do with the colour of people's skin. Making it about that doesn't help get more to realise that racism is wrong. Generalising all white people will put some people off from going against morons like Shaun Maguire.

Yes Shaun Maguire is a racist, that's obvious. Heck he specifically mentioned the Islam.
But that doesn't mean people should continue this trend by saying crap like this

No idea who the Maguire fellow is, but since he works for a large American VC firm, the piece about "coming from a culture of lying" is clearly projection.
How can this be projection? Silicon Valley’s culture brought us fraudulent medical tech, cryptocurrency scams, industrialized wire fraud, illegal taxis, and DRM juice machines. A paragon of honesty and integrity if I ever saw one.

That the same logic with different garbs. It doesn't become ok because it's a "culture wink wink".
It's the same weapon used the same way with a tiny lil' tweak to try dodge criticism.

As is the case for the majority of "race things" (as perpetrated by those in power) in the UK: people are treated differently far more according to class based on how they dress, their accent, their mannerisms, their education etc. than according to race, and there's more under-representation of people from Wales, the West Country and Northern England in well-paying jobs and government than there are by race.
I can't speak for the US but I would think it's a lower but still not insignificant proportion.
