Hold on let me remove most of my brain. This is so much more efficient than the shuttle program. You see when we made the space shuttle it cost the American taxpayer billions and in the end we owned and could operate the shuttle for the common good. This way spacex spends billions of dollars (that the government gives them) and in the end they own and operate the spaceship for profit and can charge the American taxpayer anything they want to access space. Musk is Tony stark! Sorry I couldn’t get stupid enough to make this authentic.

Yeah, I was going to say that TV wasn't much of a news source to begin with. The real issue is that social media for news is probably worse - now everyone can be spoonfed the news they want.

It's nice that this exists, but even for this I'd prefer to use an open source tool. And it of course helps with migration only if the old HS is still online.. I think most practically this migration function would be built inside some Matrix client (one that would support more than one server to start with), but I suppose a standalone tool would be a decent solution as well.

In this year of 2025? No. But it still is basically setting oneself for failure from the perspective of Graphene, IMO. Like, the strongest protection in the world (assuming Graphene even is, which is quite a tall order statement) is useless if it only works on the mornings of a Tuesday that falls in a prime number day that has a blue moon and where there are no ATP tennis matches going on. Everyone else is, like, living in the real world, and the uniqueness of your scenario is going to go down the drain once your users get presented with a $5 wrench, or even cheaper: a waterboard. Because cops, let alone ICE, are not going to stop to ask you if they can make you more comfortable with your privacy being violated.

It dissolves into salt water. Except it doesn't dissolve, this is not the term they should be using, you can't just dry out the water and get the plastic back. It breaks down into other things. I'm pretty sure an ocean full of dissolved plastic would be a way worse ecological disaster than the current microplastic problem... I've seen like 3-4 articles about this now and they all use the term dissolve and it's pissing me off.
