@beaware@mementomori.social @andypiper@macaw.social as I heard from Peter directly, the legal issues also come from internal pressure. Fediverse integration implies giving up control over content, and that's a huge pill to swallow for a company that is literally described as a data silo.

@fediversereport@mastodon.social 138k is not a lot, especially if @dansup@mastodon.social is planning to pay himself a living wage and hire others, and pay infra costs for multiple services. I wonder what the plan is after the runway ends.

Yes the checkmark is there. I have access to the PostgreSQL db, but the model is really twisted, I don't know where to find user data. Table list: legacy_hash legacy_list legacy_object legacy_set legacy_string legacy_zset searchchat searchpost searchtopic session

@julian Are categories supposed to follow regular users from this [image: 1741746454497-ufollow.jpg] screen in admin panel. Asking this because I tried putting a mastodon user profile link in the textbox but upon clicking on 'Follow' nothing happened. For threads, the request is pending(with some error, I guess) as you can see from the picture.

I'll try to look out for a new case and see if it works on my end too. Thanks!

@eeeee it is likely due to audience. So, what happens on your end is you make a topic and mention the Lemmy community. When NodeBB federates that post out, the Lemmy community is included in the mentions, but it also specifies your category 18, World Chat, in audience. If Lemmy sees that, and it doesn't know about that community already, it will drop the activity immediately. If it does, then it will likely slot the post into the "World Chat on isurg.com" community on that Lemmy instance. Lemmy removed audience checking, so this might be a non-issue. Once that Lemmy instance updates to the latest version, it'll hopefully post to the correct community. That's a tricky one, though, because which community should it post to? "Medicine" on mander.xyz, or "World Chat" on isurg.com?

@julian this is the standard header: [image: 1741778382478-329b1a23-2b16-4ff1-8849-02832b830354-image.png] this is the profile: [image: 1741778352271-fd5d8ced-d978-4330-8c74-9e64ef7a8fb3-image.png] We are missing the logo, the top menu, everything from the header.
