I mean, if only anyone could see the obvious bullshit we're headed into. There's a lot of money to be made during times of war. Unfortunately the people that are pushing us in that direction are some very short sighted individuals that genuinely believe that once their actions have driven humans to the brink of extinction, they'll still be perfectly content in an underground bunker with shitty AI robots that break a month or so in, and all the stockpiled vacuum sealed resources they can hoard. Or alternatively, dying while attempting to colonize mars. That's who humanity will be relying to continue our legacy. The kind of person that thinks they are chosen elite, and there is nothing they cannot achieve. All bc they climbed mount Everest once while paying a team of Sherpas to risk their own lives and do everything for them.

Emacs has panes. Is this supposed to imitate a fraction of the holy power?

enable the absolute worst of what humanity has to offer. can we call it a reality check? we think of humans as so great and important and unique for quite a while now while the world is spiraling downwards. maybe humans arent so great after all. like what is art? ppl vibe with slob music but birds cant vote. how does that make sense? if one can watch AI slob (and we all will with the constant improvements in ai) and like it, well maybe our taste of art is not any better than what a bird can do and like. i hope LLM will lead to a breakthrough in understanding what type of animal we really are.

I share your frustration. I went nuts about this the other day. It was in the context of searching on a discord server, rather than Google, but it was so aggravating because of the how the "I know better than you" is everywhere nowadays in tech. The discord server was a reading group, and I was searching for discussion regarding a recent book they'd studied, by someone named "Copi". At first, I didn't use quotation marks, and I found my results were swamped with messages that included the word "copy". At this point I was fairly chill and just added quotation marks to my query to emphasise that it definitely was "Copi" I wanted. I still was swamped with messages with "copy", and it drove me mad because there is literally no way to say "fucking use the terms I give you and not the ones you think I want". The software example you give is a great example of when it would be real great to be able to have this ability. TL;DR: Solidarity in rage

I don't drive and have minimal experience with cars. Does it make a big difference whether your Android Automotive solution is based on Android 13 or 15? It's been a long time since I've cared about OS upgrades for Android on smartphones, perhaps the situation is different with Android Automotive?

Sure thing! So glad I could be helpful! I don't blame you. It's the only thing I'm keeping a Win10 dual-boot for right now, and to their credit, it does work quite well in Windows. We've had a ton of fun with our set. In the meantime, I'm keeping up with the project but not actively tinkering with it myself, because it's exciting but also not quite there yet. It's at least given me hope that it can be done though! I'm confident we'll see significant gains sooner rather than later. Hats off to them. (Once my income stabilizes I'll gotta pitch them some funds...) Envision has made it VERY convenient to get set up, but the whole process still saps more time than "Fire it up and play." So maybe play with it at some point, but either way definitely keep your ear to the ground. I'm hoping in the future we'll get to use it for things like Godot XR or Blender integration.
