You know what actually works for this? A physical slider like my second smartphone had which switches between silent, vibrate and loud. That was the only time I actually switched away from vibrate because it was easy, and I could do it in my pocket without looking at the phone (especially nice in situations where looking at it might itself be rude)

Unfortunately popular newsletter service that also puts your issues online to look like a blog. Has a lot of startup capital behind it so they've been paying some of their largest writers on top of subscriber revenue. Big "marketplace of ideas" idiots who have allowed a lot of white supremacist and - as this and other situations exemplify - straight up Nazi content.

I hate this repeated idea that everyone can make good art, and it just takes time and hard work. Motherfucker, we ain't got the time! Just let people enjoy seeing an expression for an idea in the their head without spending time or money they don't have

Then all hope is lost and there is absolutely no point in fighting, all it will do is annoy people who try to read your messages. If writing weird can have an impact on the world, I'm sure a lot of other things can too.

No, LCOE is an aggregated sum of all the cash flows, with the proper discount rates applied based on when that cash flow happens, complete with the cost of borrowing (that is, interest) and the changes in prices (that is, inflation). The rates charged to the ratepayers (approved by state PUCs) are going to go up over time, with inflation, but the effect of that on the overall economics will also be blunted by the time value of money and the interest paid on the up-front costs in the meantime. When you have to pay up front for the construction of a power plant, you have to pay interest on those borrowed funds for the entire life cycle, so that steadily increasing prices over time is part of the overall cost modeling.

I believed they were doing such things against budding competitors long before the LLM era. My test is simple. Replace it with China. Would the replies be the opposite of what you've recieved so far? The answer is yes. Absolutely people would be frothing at the mouth about China being bad actors. Western tech bros are just as paranoid, they copy off others, they steal ideas. When we do it it's called "innovation".
