@reiver - my biggest complaint with Friendica is in fact that the ui is cluttered and confusing, with some of the most used functions (posting photos, connecting with contacts) not placed plainly in view. Diaspora seems a little better in this, but also has some disadvantages too.

@reiver I think you could, but you'd need to have data processing agreements in place for the sharing of that data.

Someone in the audience asked what I was also thinking — you could create a community specific search-provider server.

(Ex: just for science community, or toy photography community, etc.)
