Is there anything specifically new to this app? We had Replika AI since 2017 or so, and AI companions have been subject of discussion for quite some time now. Including long articles and scientific papers. At least since the Covid times when that picked up. So what's the news here?

Maybe I'm just a newb, but it still looks like PNG is the goto to ensure lossless image storage. Everything else on that list that is "better" does/can do lossy compression. I'm not sure how to force apps to use lossless compression, so to me, all those lossy-capable formats are a drawback.

If AI gave you an accurate correct answer 99% of the time would you use it to find the answer to questions quickly? I would. I absolutely would, the natural language search of ai feels amazing for finding the answer to a question you have. The current problem is that its not accurate and not correct at a high enough percentage. As soon as that reaches a certain point we're cooked and AI becomes undeniable.

I'm specifically talking about toil when it comes to my job as a software developer. I already know I need an if statement and a for loop all wrapped in a try catch. Rather then spending a couple minutes coding that I have cursor do it for me instantly then fill out the actual code. Or, ive written something in python and it needs to be converted to JavaScript. I can ask Claude to convert it one to one for me and test it, which comes back with either no errors or a very simple error I need to fix. It takes a minute. Instead I could have taken 15min to rewrite it myself and maybe make more mistakes that take longer.
