Its anecdotal at best. Its like if someone was saying "we should give kids school lunch so they preform better at school" and then I replied "I didnt have school lunch and I got top my class" you'd think ok that changes nothing. There is a lot of research to support the idea that adults are less likely to pick up a skill if they weren't exposed to it as a kid. If you dont grow up working with technology to make things you're less likely to go down that route as an adult or late teen. Thats a huge disadvantage in today's age.

git is a very complex undo/redo tool designed to simultaneously track the changes made to multiple documents by multiple users while being efficient with managing disk space and other resources. (It also has other clever tricks it can do). It was created by Linus Torvalds, current development is led by Junio Hamano. Chris Wanstrath, P. J. Hyett, Tom Preston-Werner and Scott Chacon made GitHub.com, which was eventually sold to Microsoft. GitHub does two things well: -You can easily clone any project hosted with them to your own git repository using the command 'git clone https://github.com/[Username]/[ProjectName]' -The rest of the public website is basically a looking glass for everything git does under the hood natively (but with a nice webUI instead of a cold command prompt). Personally I lost faith in GitHub when it started offering Copilot assistant. We're only a two heartbeats away from Microsoft saying that using Copilot for any of your projects code constitutes Microsoft contributed to that project as a precursor to Microsoft saying it basically 'owns' all this open-source stuff. Embrace, extend, extinguish (I recommend everyone run docker and GitTea to create a personal clone store (give your favorite projects insurance) and that all developers move away from GitHub)

The state exports almost three-fifths of the electricity it produces, according to the EIA. this means to use internal "surplus" electricity in the state, 750mw data center would be supported. The initial build is 1.8gw. Need to increase electricity production in the state by over 150%. Surrounding states that depend on Wyoming imports get screwed if WY production not increased more.

it's only meant for temporary situations, 10 total days per year. I guess the idea is you'd use loaner PCs to access this while getting repairs done or before you've gotten a new PC. but yeah i kinda doubt there's a huge market for this kind of service.

That's based on https://github.com/jonmagic/copy-excel-paste-markdown Would be awesome to see some Lemmy clients incorporate that. I've had it requested but haven't had a chance to really dig into it yet.

hehehehe You know, it's hilarious that you say that. Nobody ever realizes that they're talking to a starving homeless person on the internet when they meet one, do they? Believe it or not, quite a few of us do have jobs. Not all of us are disabled or addicted. That is the problem with the society we live in. We're invisible until we talk to you.
