These laws involve the following: Licensing, permit and certification requirements Mandatory Lyft and/or Uber decals on a vehicle’s front and back passenger-side windshields Insurance requirements, including vehicle liability and workers’ compensation insurance Minimum TNC driver age requirement of 21 years old, with at least one year of driving history Department of Motor Vehicle record checks required for all TNC drivers Annual background checks required for all TNC drivers Mandatory driver training programs to ensure drivers are safely operating their vehicles Accessibility plans for individuals with disabilities A Zero Tolerance Policy for drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol Required vehicle inspections once per year or every 50,000 miles, whichever comes first Prohibition against TNC drivers accepting street hails from potential passengers Prohibition against TNC drivers transporting more than seven passengers per ride If Uber, Lyft or another ridesharing company is found to be delinquent in following any of these laws, it could face penalties. The CPUC accepts complaints from the public regarding ridesharing services or drivers who are in violation of any of the state’s TNC laws.

My understanding is that if they've lasted at least a month and haven't died on you, you probably got a "good" batch and what you have now will be what it stays as for the most part, but a fair number of gulikits just sort of crap out at the 1-2 mo mark. So heads up on that.

While I completely agree with you about the absence of one-liners and meme comments, and even more left leaning community, there's still that strong element of "gotcha" in discussions. Also tonnes of people not reading an article before commenting (at a better rate than Reddit probably), and a generally even more doomer attitude is common here.

Sure thing! So glad I could be helpful! I don't blame you. It's the only thing I'm keeping a Win10 dual-boot for right now, and to their credit, it does work quite well in Windows. We've had a ton of fun with our set. In the meantime, I'm keeping up with the project but not actively tinkering with it myself, because it's exciting but also not quite there yet. It's at least given me hope that it can be done though! I'm confident we'll see significant gains sooner rather than later. Hats off to them. (Once my income stabilizes I'll gotta pitch them some funds...) Envision has made it VERY convenient to get set up, but the whole process still saps more time than "Fire it up and play." So maybe play with it at some point, but either way definitely keep your ear to the ground. I'm hoping in the future we'll get to use it for things like Godot XR or Blender integration.
