… /results. I'm....not quite understanding you reply. I think you're trying to add on "results" to my statement of "cost/effort", but I covered "results" with my first statement of "features or functionality". So if I understand your post properly, I think your addition is simply duplicative of what I already included. Have I misunderstood what you're trying to communicate?

If AI gave you an accurate correct answer 99% of the time would you use it to find the answer to questions quickly? I would. I absolutely would, the natural language search of ai feels amazing for finding the answer to a question you have. The current problem is that its not accurate and not correct at a high enough percentage. As soon as that reaches a certain point we're cooked and AI becomes undeniable.

So first, even here we see foundation money and big tech, not government. Facebook, Google, etc mostly love net neutrality, tolerate encryption, anf see utility in anonymous internet access, mostly because these things don't interfere with their core advertising businesses, and generally have helped them. I didn't see Comcast and others in the ISP oligopoly on that list, probably because they would not benefit from net neutrality, encryption, and privacy for obvious reasons. The EFF advocates for particular civil libertarian policies, always has. That does attract certain donors, but not others. They have plenty of diverse and grassroots support too. One day they may have to choose between their corpo donors and their values, but I have yet to see them abandon principles.

AFAIK, you have the option to enable ads on your lock screen. It's not something that's forced upon you. Last time I took a look at the functionality, they "paid" you for the ads and you got to choose which charity to support with the money.

and even without it, you'll get 150mA @ 5V by default out of the USB 3 host upstream and up to 900mA with some pretty basic USB negotiation in a protocol that dates from USB 1.0 That's wrong. With USB Type-C, you can get the power up to 3A @ 5V with just two 5.1kΩ resistor on CC pins.

OpenAI has stated that its models were trained on publicly available and licensed data. There is no confirmed evidence that ChatGPT was specifically trained on copyrighted books like J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. The company has not disclosed the full details of its training data.
