The Trump Administration is Building a National Citizenship Data System; State and county election officials can now check the citizenship status of their entire voter lists.
-
I think in most cases where this administration seems to have a good idea it's important to remember that it's likely designed to keep them in power.
A national database that the trump admin controls will 100% be exploited for their own gain, just like every other aspect of government is being exploited for their gain now.

You mean, weaponized.

So you’re admitting the democrats want illegals to vote in elections?
Democrats?
Buddy, this is a bipartisan event. If the city counsel decides what to do with the initiatives, why are you blaming the Dems? That the democrats are fine with that speaks to compassion for small issues that betters lives.
I hope you realize this doesn't mean electing officials.

You literally said “what democrats want” in your last paragraph of your last post you turnip, and said that they want illegals to vote in them.

Yeah, what lower case democrats (and by extension capital D Democrats allegedly) want and believe in as a core tenet is for the public to vote on small scale measures that affect them directly. Shocker, I know. But tell me, did you think they meant elections instead of these issues? Because you're glossing over the scale of these initiatives quite conveniently.
Also, should my country stop taking young people's votes? Imagine children voting to give an opinion for the local council to hear! I may just clutch my pearls thinking they're electing officials.
-
“illegitimately” is the key word there. I’m not interested in what you think happens if everything is working as intended, or your poor reading comprehension
Oh the irony. Database and procedural logs are automatic and extensive, that's why I mentioned them. No amount of "illegitimate" actions would sidestep them. Go back to school.
Logs, eh? You know those are just text files, right? And how do you plan to get access to them to prove any kind of mistake or malfeasance, exactly?
-
look at which ones are voting democrats are voting independant, and target those areas for voter suppression, its simple as that.
Jokes on them. I cancelled my voter registration the day after the last election.
-
Do it legally.
Is selling meth "wanting a better life and pulling your bootstrap"?
If they are selling method then simple police work is needed to catch them. No need for ICE. Be intellectually honest, you know selling meth isn't really happening.
-
You said that commuting a crime of wanting a better life is ok, so I asked if wanting a better life by selling meth is ok……and you said yes….so yeah, your opinion isn’t really necessary after that.
Are you the type that wants free markets and small government?
-

You need to look up the definition of the word “election” mate.

Well no, they’re not just text files lol.
You’re basically saying that everyone that can have anything to do with the database and systems around it are corrupt and working together. That’s a ridiculous conspiracy theory.

No, just the person in charge has to order it. People do what their bosses tell them. Rules and procedures don't matter if the people in charge ignore them. And again, you're not getting access to any of the data we're talking about in the first place, because the government would have to grant that access, and you're not a person as far as they're concerned in this scenario. What organisations have you worked for that would just give out information to a person they can't verify the identity of?
That’s a ridiculous conspiracy theory.
No, it's happening now in the US. You seem woefully under-informed to be trying to comment on current affairs. Maybe stick to your own country until you're up to speed.

Of all the things you could've said, that's what you chose to comment on? Don't start looking silly now and start arguing semantics. You came at this strong. What happened? Losing confidence all of a sudden when called out?
Anyway, I'd love that for you!
I don't know if you know, but generally speaking, an election is a vote held to choose who holds political power. And less commonly, it's used in the general sense to make a generic choice. I chose one definition over the other deliberately to make a distinction about the purpose of votes on a referendum or ballot initiative that are less commonly said to have been "elected". But you know, I won't get mad if you "elect" cake for breakfast over scrambled eggs. You do you, boo.
-
but the majority of undocumented immigrants in the US don’t enter that way.
Doubt, especially given what we saw from 2021-early 2025.
You're free to go look at the statistics easily found, I'm not gonna do your homework for you. Were you at the border?

Yes, I chose to comment on that because it shows you're arguing based on incorrect ideas.
And less commonly, it’s used in the general sense to make a generic choice
No it's not. You thought it was, but it's not. I'm talking about political elections, you're talking about voting to choose between options. Electing to choose something over another thing doesn't mean you held an election lol
Words have meanings, and you clearly don't know what the words you're using mean.

No, they don't - not when it's illegal, and especially not when it's something like this. You guys always love to bang on about the whole January 6 thing where Trump supposedly ordered all sorts of things of the ballot counters etc - and they didn't do it, did they? People say no to their bosses all the time.
because the government would have to grant that access, and you’re not a person as far as they’re concerned in this scenario.
So the DOJ/FBI/CIA/etc never investigate anything internal? I'm not talking about me specifically lol.

Wait so this National Citizenship Database already exists and is already being corrupted with legitimate citizens being deleted from it because they're not registered Republicans?! Where can I read more about this? How was it exposed? You just finished telling me that there would be no way to know, didn't you? So how do you know?

So you tried but couldn't find them, because you're wrong. Gotcha.
