Optimise for maximum happiness and freedom and minimum suffering on a societal level, while making sure that a certain threshold of freedom-from-suffering is met for every single individual. (So that happiness for the majority is not reached via the suffering of minorities.) Obviously there can be arguments about where we draw the lines for the specifics of these. Quite a few ways have been developed to measure happiness, wellbeing, flourishing, quality of life, whatever nuance you want to pick. We have ample proof that it's a system that fundamentally undermines societal happiness by incentivising the accumulation of wealth at the expense of the wellbeing of people and ecosystems. It's decades overdue to radically change the way the world's economy works. (Which is of course not something those with the most power want, so unlikely to happen any time soon.)

You're better off with a lawyer than without one. I used to work in a court, (not in any particular legal sense, I reset passwords). There was always somebody who came in with that attitude and decided to represent themselves often times when they were guilty as sin. A lawyer was never going to be able to get them off a charge, but maybe they would have been able to get a reduced sentence. Representing yourself is never a good idea because you don't actually know the law, no one does, that's why lawyers are so expensive.

No I did everything in USD. It was a few years back so things might’ve changed but while I was still on Reddit I discussed it with some others and at least based on what they were saying, Canadian internet and phone prices were considerably higher than American. It doesn’t help that there’s a duopoly here.

This isn't the Cthulhu universe. There isn't some horrible truth ChatGPT can reveal to you which will literally drive you insane. Some people use ChatGPT a lot, some people have psychotic episodes, and there's going to be enough overlap to write sensationalist stories even if there's no causative relationship. I suppose ChatGPT might be harmful to someone who is already delusional by (after pressure) expressing agreement, but I'm not sure about that because as far as I know, you can't talk a person into or out of psychosis.

Maybe you're right: is there verification? Neither content policy (youtube or tiktok) clearly lays out rules on those words. I only find unverified claims: some write it started at YouTube, others claim TikTok. They claim YouTube demonetizes & TikTok shadowbans. They generally agree content restrictions by these platforms led to the propagation of circumspect shit like unalive & SA. TikTok policy outlines their moderation methods, which include removal and ineligibility to the for you feed. Given their policy on self-harm & automated removal of potential violations, their policy is to effectively & recklessly censor such language. Generally, censorship is suppression of expression. Censorship doesn't exclusively mean content removal, though they're doing that, too. (Digression: revisionism & whitewashing are forms of censorship.) Regardless of how they censor or induce self-censorship, they're chilling inoffensive language pointlessly. While as private entities they are free to moderate as they please, it's unnecessary & the effect is an obnoxious affront on self-expression that's contorting language for the sake of avoiding idiotic restrictions.

What would a use case look like? I assume that the latency will make it impractical to train something that's LLM-sized. But even for something small, wouldn't a data center be more efficient?
