Still Unable To Get Fediration Working

I've gone through and made sure that Fediration is active within settings, the fediverse privilege is set within all categories and even tried to see if posts made from Mastodon show up within the forum to no avail though. I've also tried to follow some accounts in Mastodon via the forum search and that seems to work but, I'm not seeing any results in the World section. I know it's possible as I mistakenly posted a thread in the Fedi.forum's site from Mastodon but when trying for mine, nothing comes through.

I hope that this is correct as there isn't way to check the option for "Access category" for the uncategorized

Went back into the settings and turned off the "Use Allow List" option and now, getting entries from Mastodon. Seems that was what was blocking things.

@2TonWaffle ah, yes if you turn on the filters to "allow list" then it denies stuff from servers not on the list!

@david@weaknotes.com in what way, that the category is cleared out regularly? I think that happens often already with users auto-deleting their posts. https://activitypub.academy is another example of a test instance that is regularly cleared. Either way I take no offense if try.nodebb.org gets blocked here and there

@trwnh@mastodon.social there is, and it'd work in this case. The issue is that as the condition is evaluated, if it doesn't resolve to boolean true, then the case won't execute. In the example above it resolves (in JavaScript, anyway) to "bar"

@freamon thanks! Happy to look into handling Create(ChatMessage)... I think the error aside, NodeBB would drop it anyway since ChatMessage isn't an expected post type.

Unless I am mistaken this is how Lemmy implemented it. Announce-ing activities only, and one single Announce(Note) for compatibility with Mastodon.
