  • I mean good for the desktop experience on Linux, its taken the movement of most desktop apps to the web to make OS choice basically immaterial. I’ll still nitpick some things in linux that are still worse than Windows (i’ve replaced my htpc with a cheapo N100 and its better in most ways, worse in a few smaller things), but the most important thing is that the things I mostly use a desktop for (namely media consumption, browsing, some game streaming, and docker containers) its more or less the same as using windows or macos.

A lot, but please educate yourself, Thanks for the advice. this topic has been extensively discussed here and in other places. This is noise, not an argument. I dunno what's the purpose of this comment. I asked for specific things, not for noise.

I have a question. Why do we see this every alternate week about META breaking a law, not agreeing to standards, hacking their way with loopholes and legislation. And STILLLL nothing ever bad happens to Meta? Why are they still existing? If any company causes depression to teenagers, Creates or aides genocide, Misuses data, How are they still existing? Are we daft? Or are the lawmakers? Or the government? Meta is evil. Period. They cant keep getting away with this.

Of which probably about 90% are minimum wage employees. Cutting a few hundreds that are not minimum wage employees does make a difference. Is the goal to reach 99.99% minimum wage work force? I'm sure it is. A good company should be reducing the % of minimum wage employees instead while maintaining good profit. But I guess double digit growth is more important. Amazon is one of the biggest company on the planet what they do, no only sets precedents but also is a visible exemple of what is "successful" and morally "acceptable".

I see no issue with this, especially for an elderly person, for example, to keep at home. The only way this will get "breached", is if someone breaks into her home. At that point, the password book is the least of her concerns anyway. In fact, from a cyber security point of view, this is brilliant if kept in a safe place, such as a locked safety box. You can't really remotely hack a physical book.
